AT&T All-America Player of the Year 2011-2012 – Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE. PROMOTION OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND WASHINGTON, D.C. WHO ARE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. PROMOTION VOID IN ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

  1. To enter: This promotion begins at 8:00 PM (ET) on Sunday, December 4, 2011 and ends at 11:59 PM (ET) on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 ("Entry Period"). There are three (3) ways to get an entry form to enter this promotion: Text Message Method: During the Entry Period, using your wireless phone, text the message "VOTE" to short code 55862. Upon AT&T's receipt of your text message, you will receive a text including a link to the promotional mobile mini-site housing the entry form. From the mobile mini-site, follow the entry instructions to submit an entry, including your name, phone number and email address. Normal charges will apply for text messaging and data based on your current rate plan. You must have text and data service on your wireless phone in order to enter via this method. QR Code Method: During the Entry Period, utilizing your web –enabled wireless device that has a built-in camera, download a free QR code reader application (unless you already have a QR code reader application). After you have downloaded and completed software installation of QR code reader application, open the QR code scan application and scan the QR code on the promotional materials You will then receive a link to the promotional mobile mini-site housing the entry form. From the mobile mini-site, follow the entry instructions to submit an entry, including your name, contact phone number and email address. Normal data charges will apply based on your current rate plan. You must have a data service plan for your wireless device with your wireless service provider and a QR code scanner application in order to enter via this method. Online Method: You may also enter into the promotion online by going to www.espnallamerica.com during the Entry Period and following the instructions to submit online entries, including entering your name, contact phone number, and email address. Only one (1) entry allowed per person. Your entry is deemed submitted upon receipt of your mobile site or online transmission. Entries will be disqualified if they contain any inappropriate material or language, including profanity, as determined by Sponsor, ABC, ESPN, or CSE, in their sole discretion. Neither AT&T Services, Inc. ("Sponsor"), American Broadcast Company ("ABC"), Entertainment Sports Program Network ("ESPN"), Career Sports & Entertainment, Inc., d/b/a CSE ("CSE"), or any of their employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, marketing agencies, nor any telephone network or service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible or misdirected entries. Text message and online entrants must be the registered subscriber of the text message or online account by which their entry is made. In case of a dispute regarding identity of person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the natural person who is the authorized holder of the transmitting e-mail address or text messaging device/service at the time of entry. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. All materials submitted become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Information collected in connection with this Sweepstakes may be used only in accordance with AT&T's privacy policy and these Official Rules.   2. Drawing: Winner will be determined in a random selection process to be conducted on or about Thursday, January 6, 2012 by CSE from all eligible entries received as outlined above. Sponsor and CSE (collectively "Judges") decisions on all matters relating to the promotion shall be final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. If winner is not reachable within three (3) days of CSE attempting to contact winner, then an alternate winner will be randomly selected. This process will repeat until a winner is secured.
  3. Prize: Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive: (i) round-trip coach airfare for two (2) from a major commercial airport near winner's home to a major commercial airport near Miami, FL ("Airport") (specific airport locations to be determined by Sponsor based on availability); (ii) two (2) tickets to the 2013 Discover BCS Championship Bowl Game on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Miami, FL ("Game"); (iii) 3-day, 2-night hotel accommodations (double occupancy) in the vicinity of the Game ("Hotel") from Sunday, January 6, 2013 to Tuesday, January 8, 2013; (iv) ground transportation to/from Airport and Hotel; (v) ground transportation to/from Hotel and Game; and (vii) Five Hundred and NO/100 Dollars ($500) (ARV: $4,800). Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes permitted; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded. Meals, beverages, gratuities, incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses relative to participation in promotion (including acceptance of prize) not specified herein are not included and are solely the Grand Prize winner's responsibility. All arrangements are subject to change, availability, holiday, blackout dates, and other restrictions. Trip arrangements cannot be changed by Grand Prize winner/travel companion. If Grand Prize winner is 18 but has not yet reached the age of the majority in the jurisdiction in which he/she resides ("Minor"), the travel companion must be a parent/legal guardian of Grand Prize winner. Grand Prize winner/travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time. Travel companion of Grand Prize winner will be required to execute and return a liability/publicity release (unless prohibited by law) prior to the date of travel. Grand Prize winner must respond promptly to Sponsor's requests regarding travel arrangements. Grand Prize winner/travel companion must travel on the dates, and at the time and to the location approved/specified by the Sponsor. Grand Prize winner/travel companion must provide own transportation to/from airport of departure. Grand Prize winner/travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining any/all necessary travel documentation/requirements (including but not limited to valid photo I.D., passport, etc.) before departure. Airline carrier and hotel regulations and conditions apply. Prizes are not valid for upgrades. All tickets issued in conjunction with the prizes are not eligible for frequent flyer miles. If air travel is not needed, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor ground transportation may be substituted for the air travel, and there will be no cash alternative. If Grand Prize winner chooses to not take a travel companion, then the travel companion elements will be forfeited and the remaining elements shall constitute full satisfaction of the Grand Prize.
  4. Determination of Winner: Winner must sign and return any required Affidavits of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance forms and IRS-W9 forms within three (3) days of receipt. Non-compliance will result in disqualification, and Sponsor or CSE may select an alternate winner. By entry into this promotion, winner consents to the use of his/her name and/or photograph for promotional purposes without additional compensation (except in TN or wherever else prohibited by law).
  5. Eligibility: Promotion open only to legal residents of the United States and Washington, D.C. who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Entrants who are Minors must obtain parental or legal guardian consent to be eligible to enter Sweepstakes. Directors, officers, and employees of Sponsor, ABC, ESPN, CSE, their affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective Immediate Family of each are not eligible. "Immediate Family" means parents, spouse, siblings, children, grandparents, grandchildren, step-parents, step-children and step-siblings, and their respective spouses, and those living in the same household, whether or not related. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any potential winner. Income or other taxes on any prizes awarded are the responsibility of the winner.
  6. General Conditions. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the promotion, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. In the event of termination, a random drawing to award the prizes will be conducted from all eligible entries received up until the time of termination. Should the promotion be terminated, Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications network failure, theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any wireless or wired telephone network, computer online systems, service providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on any telephone or internet connection or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this promotion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Should the promotion be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will posted at www.espnallamerica.com. The Sponsor is not responsible for typographical errors in any promotion related material. If by reason of any error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these Official Rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. Promotion subject to all federal, state, local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. By entering this promotion, you agree to indemnify, release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, ABC, ESPN, CSE, their respective affiliates and related entities, including officers, directors, employees, licensees, representatives, and assigns, from all claims or damages arising out of your participation in this promotion or your acceptance, ownership or use of any prize. Any and all issues or controversies arising here from or related hereto, shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws and decisions of the State of Georgia.
  7. Winners: For the AT&T "All America Player of the Year 2012" Promotion winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed return envelope (Residents of VT may omit return postage) to AT&T's "All-America Player of the Year 2012" Promotion, Winners List, 600 Galleria Parkway, Suite 1900, Atlanta, GA 30339 by February 6, 2012.
